Show your listings on Facebook with ease : new myRealPage feature update [Video]

dashboard

We are very excited to publish a great new feature in our Listings Module: a set of tools to quickly and easily create and publish all manner of listings on your Facebook Fan Page. If you don’t know what Facebook Fan Pages are, we encourage you to check them out. In a nutshell, Facebook Fan Pages allow you to create a special landing page for your real estate business where you can engage your existing and potential client base. And now, you can compliment such a Fan Page with your listings, including listing search and predefined searches (in regions where available).

We have gone to great lengths to make the typically convoluted process of publishing on a Facebook Page, a breeze. Everything is handled from a single easy-to-use wizard dialog which takes you through all the steps and gives you a great deal of flexibility and customization.

At a glance, this new feature will let you:

  • Quickly publish your listings, including a custom arrangement of your listings, such as “Only active listings”, “This listing at the top, followed by the rest of my listings”, etc…
  • Publish any of your Predefined Searches (in regions where available), also including various arrangements.
  • Publish your individual listings’ details
  • Publish a special, facebook-friendly search form (in regions where available) to let your visitors search for listings right on your Facebook Page
  • Create special fans-only (fan gate) pages which show their true contents only to people who have liked the page, and otherwise invite them to like the page first (a way to build a fan base for your page)
  • Completely integrated way to manage all your listing Facebook Tabs from the web-based Private Office, including the ability to publish and unpublish individual tabs.
  • Manage one or many Facebook Pages and tabs all in one place.

Adding support for Social Media links to the websites

contact-info-weblet We are very pleased to add a tightly integrated support for Social Media links to your website with myRealPage. We have extended our Site Settings dialog to include a tab for “Social Media” where you can add links to your accounts with:

Once you fill in your Social Media links into the Site Settings and publish them, they will appear in your “Contact Info” weblet, as well as in “Contact Form” (if it’s configured to display your contact information). You can even place another Contact Info weblet where you like on your page and specify to hide everything in it, except the Social Media icons, if you would like a better control over how to show these links.

For brokers:

We have also added support for social media icons to the “Agent Directory” weblet which is mostly of interest to brokers that have myRealPage websites. You can now add Social Media links for each of your agent. The icons with these links will appear in the Agent Directory listings, as well as in all Instant Agent websites.

READ THIS HOWTO ARTICLE with detailed instructions on how to add Social Media icons to your website: it’s easy!

Login with Facebook, Google/Gmail, and Yahoo comes to myRealPage mobile listing search

A little while ago, we introduced a new feature that made it very easy for your web visitors to signup and login into their Virtual Office Website (VOW) accounts using their Facebook profiles. Shortly after, we added support for Google/Gmail accounts and Yahoo ID. Today, we are very pleased to announce the support for Facebook, Google/Gmail and Yahoo ID in your mobile listings with myRealPage. It’s fairly obvious that any shortcut on a mobile device that reduces the amount of typing is of great value to your clients and leads. They will now be able to create a VOW account on your mobile listings by typing absolutely nothing and potentially only needing to click on a single checkbox that they agree to the “Terms and Conditions”; if you have any, that is.

Also remember, that this feature is available to you even if you are subscribed to Listings-Only service.

Make sure you enable your Facebook, Google and Yahoo ID logins in your Private Office; it’s easy:

Introducing “Login with Facebook” button for your website

facebook-logo We all know that Facebook is huge: 500 million active users! Being so huge, Facebook automatically becomes a focus of online marketing strategies, advertising, etc. However, the size of Facebook creates another very important implication for your real estate website: your visitors are very likely to already have Facebook profiles. Why does it matter? Well, now you can make their registration on your website a snap!

We are very pleased to introduce a “Login with Facebook” button that can be easily added to your Virtual Office Website (VOW) toolbar. A little while go, Facebook has released a public Graph API to allow better integration between Facebook profiles and 3rd party websites. Today we letting you take advantage of it. Here is how it works, in a nutshell:

  • You opt to enable “Login with Facebook” button on your VOW toolbar
  • A visitor comes to your website and decides that they would like to take advantage of all the tools you offer via VOW, such as saved searches, email alerts, favorites, mobile, etc.
  • Instead of clicking on Signup and needing to fill out the form; they click on “Login with Facebook” button
  • They are then directed to a special Facebook page which will ask them whether they are ok with sharing some of their personal information with your website; if they confirm, then…
  • They are taken to your signup form with all their information pre-filled; they only need to click on the checkbox that they agree with your terms, if you have any (if you have additional required fields, such as telephone number, they may need to fill that in as well)
  • Your visitor has now become your VOW member after 4 simple clicks and NO typing.

This is how you enable your “Login with Facebook” button:

facebook-login-setting

And this is how your anonymous web visitor becomes a registered VOW member:

facebook-signup

“Login with Facebook” feature goes to lower any impediment or barriers that manually filling out signup forms creates. This should contribute to better conversion rates; since we know if something is easier, it’s more likely to be used.

(A quick note: the checkbox for the “Login with Facebook” is currently available only in Windows Private Office. Our Mac guru is home bound next week from a relaxing vacation; so he will get our Mac users up to date in no time sometime next week. If you would like to enable this setting and you are a Mac user, simply call our office and they will be happy to do it for you).

Let us know what you think: we are all ears! Leave your comments here or drop us a line to feedback@myrealpage.com
