Did you know that you can have your MLS® listings appearing on your Facebook REALTOR ® page in minutes?
Only a short time ago when you wanted to learn more about someone, you "Googled" them, now, it seems that when you want to learn more, you look them up on Facebook. If you don't have a Facebook REALTOR ® fan page, I highly recommend it.
Two main reasons for having a fan page are:
- You can keep you personal life and work life separate. You can always intertwine them when you like, but that is up to you.
- You can be found as a REALTOR® and not just you. Believe it or not, not everyone knows a REALTOR® and have to find one. This is your chance to get out there and allow people in your area to find you.
You can learn more about Facebook fan pages by clicking here. Once you have a Facebook REALTOR ® fan page created, you can start adding listings to your page. But wait! Not only can you publish your listings & your office listings but you can also add predefined searches, search forms and individual listings.

Now to set up a Facebook tab or as many tabs if you want, follow the instructions here. A tab is basically a subpage for your Facebook page. Just like the menu on your myRealPage website.
There is a limitation of the sync between myRealPage and Facebook. The Facebook tab image will be a stock image, so it will be up to you to customize it. The size your image should be is 111px x 74px.
To change the image for an app on your Page:
- From your page, click to the right of your apps under your cover photo
- Hover over the app you want to change the icon for and click
- Select Edit Settings from the drop down menu
- Click Change next to Custom Tab Image
- On the next screen, hover over the existing image and click Edit
- Follow the instructions that appear for uploading a new image
Now that you have added some listings to your Facebook Fan page there is no need to update them, they will continuously update as if they were on your website. Pretty neat huh?
