What a fantastic feature! I think the listing statistics from November 17th are a little off, though, on an order of 100+ times...... Anyone else have this problem?

Telf,

We have looked at your stats through the logs and they do appear correct. Because you have configured Pre-Defined searches, these were "crawled" by search engines. Hence the number of listing detail views. So these are the impressions of all listings in your reciprocity searches.

We have started to limit the search crawlers that can actually get to the listing information to just the major ones, so this number will be smaller in the future. Meanwhile, this shows you the "accessibility" of listings through your predefined searches.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Bill!

I have no idea what "Pre-Defined Searches" does -- I'll have to go read that section of the help menu -- but if it means I'm being spidered, then I'm all for it!

Thank you for such a wonderful service.

Telf, You have 14 Pre-Defined Searches under your Listing Options. Some examples: "Deering Island", "Dunbar - Condos", etc. Pre-Defined searches are great for capturing a search criteria through one of the available forms, and then exposing it via a menu item on your website or accessing it via a drop-down in your Reciprocity searches (which is automatically placed there). This way you can instantly show the results of your "captured" searches. In any case, the end result is yes: this promotes "spidering" of your website (often called "crawling", I guess spiders do crawl :) If you are revisiting Pre-Defined Searches, I would also welcome you to take a look at Pre-Defined Forms which are also in your Listing Options. Your Pre-Defined Forms can help you configure the forms that you will show to your Reciprocity and VOW visitors. You can "capture" the criteria you want the forms to show by default when someone goes to search for listings, in order, perhaps, to "lean" your visitors towards your geographic area of expertise or your market specialty (condos, townhouses, houses, price range, etc).

Hey Telf, nice work using those pre defined search tools. Have you thought about using different domain names for any of those searches? Appreciate your feedback.
