UPDATE: Blackberry version of this application has entered development. Read details here.
MyRealPage has launched a very exciting new feature: geo-location aware property searches on iPhone and Android-based phones. Last week, iPhone OS 3.0 has been released and iPhone 3GS has shipped. Just before that, Android "Cupcake" version has been released and HTC Magic launched. Hot on the heels of these events, MyRealPage releases mobile search designed for iPhone and Android based phones (such as HTC Dream and Magic). This is a very new and exciting application space for MyRealPage! We decided to deliver a fully featured set of HTML5 mobile tools that would include both useful search tools for your clients as well as powerful lead generation opportunities.
(UPDATE: want to learn more or have questions? Visit: FAQ: MyRealPage iPhone and Android mobile listing application)
(UPDATE: Read our customers' feedback here: MyRealPage iPhone/Android listing searches get first reviews)
The new mobile application is now in beta and available for public use. While in beta, the mobile search will be available FOR FREE to all current subscribers who have a Listings subscription (including Listings-only subscribers). Even though an extraordinary amount of attention has been paid to details in this application, we expect that it will evolve and change through the beta period.
Here is a quick list of what you can do in this application:
  • Automatically locate yourself via GPS and see all available listings for sale in up to 1km radius around you
  • Have the application "follow" you by updating your position and nearby listings as you walk or drive
  • Drag the map to pan around and see the nearby listings automatically searched for you
  • Manually override your current location by entering the address of your choice
  • Login into your Virtual Office Website (VOW) account to see and do more
  • See full details of each individual listing, including all photos
  • Email listings to family and friends
  • Inquire about the listing with the agent/team/broker
  • "Star" the listing for later review through the Virtual Office Website (VOW) account
  • Sign up for a Virtual Office Website (VOW) account
  • Make a phone call and/or send a SMS message directly from the contact forms

We have also included a special request form for your web visitors to have the mobile link sent to their phones. The link to this form is currently located at the bottom of your property search forms. (And yes, it is capable of generating and auto-creating leads for you just like all other listing forms from MyRealPage).

We hope you and your clients will enjoy and have fun using this application!

Where is the link to upload this application to my iphone?
Bill Skrypnyk on Jun 28, 2009 3:26 PM
@Ken Stef and @Ali Asi: We have received quite a bit of interest in the Blackberry version of this application and we are currently looking into it. We'll post an update when we it's a bit more clear how much effort and time will be involved in brining it to the market.
Bill Skrypnyk on Jun 28, 2009 3:29 PM
@Jeff Pryputsch: Jeff, you should be able to access this application on your iphone or android phone at this url: http://jeffpry.com/m

There is also a link at the bottom of your search forms (http://jeffpry.com/recip.html) that will open an "inquiry" form which can conveniently send you the url which can be opened directly on the phone (to save some typing. The inquiry form will also generate a lead for you).

I have a Samsung Omnia, which is aa iphone copy. Will this work with my phone, now or in the future.
Bill Skrypnyk on Jun 29, 2009 7:18 AM
Al, I think Omnia is running Windows Mobile. This application is available for iPhone OS 3.0 or Android "Cupcake" build. We'll post an update on our plans regarding other mobile platforms soon.

May be off topic but something came to my mind that Applications cannot work everywhere, an iPhone app would work only on iPhone and not on blackberry or any other. This is why i think that iPhone compatable websites (like m.digg.com) are a better in comparison to applications. Cost effective, work on every platform, Just a browser needed, and so many benefits. And after some googling this is what i got: <a href="http://www.sdplabs.com/made-for-iphone">'Made for iPhone' websites</a> by SDPlabs makes it even simpler and easier to have a iPhone compatible website. Hope that helps someone.

Very helpful !

Should be able to click on the link to it in your blog on my iPhone to get it quickly and easily
Bill Skrypnyk on Oct 1, 2009 2:37 PM
Kim, you are right: that would be ideal!

Unfortunately, we actually have thousands of these URLs because this application is available to every one of our REALTOR(r) users. And each user, of course, has a different URL to this application to pass on to their customers. So, as you see, if we were to post a URL here we would need to single out one of our users...

For all users that have websites with us, the URL is

We are looking at adding subdomain feature, where one may be able to point "m.[domain.com] to this mobile app.

i love this application but it give me wrong current address on my iphone and i used my friend iphone at his house same problem, quite a bit off location so how i solve this problem. thanks in advance
Bill Skrypnyk on Oct 1, 2009 3:43 PM
Thanks, amarjit. Our application relies on the iphone's GPS unit to provide the location and sometimes iphone seems to cache old or erroneous locations. It appears to be especially true for when you are indoors.

A quick fix is to turn "Follow Me" button on for a few seconds until you see your location "refined" to be exact. You can then turn "Follow Me" off.

Hope this helps.
