Product Update: New Listing URL Structure

Bug fixes and minor improvements, you thought? Nope.

We’ve tweaked how listing URLs work and you can now take advantage of the change. The URL on your listings will now include the listing address and the MLS® Number, making it  more “attractive” to both users and search engines.

According to SEO MOZ, structuring URLs is part of the best practices for best SEO results. In an excerpt of their blog post about Structuring URLs, they write:

Keywords in the URL help indicate to those who see your URL on social media, in an email, or as they hover on a link to click that they’re getting what they want and expect

Another research run by Microsoft shows that the URL is one of the most prominent elements searchers consider when selecting which site to click when performing a search.

So there you go! Your site might be getting a boost by these new implementations.
