INFOGRAPHICS: January 2019 RAE Edmonton Market Reports
We are now a month into the new year, so let’s see how the market has been doing at the start of 2019. Here are the most recent housing market updates for areas and neighbourhoods under the REALTORS Association of Edmonton (RAE)!
As per their latest market update, RAE’s residential segment has seen a decline in average prices in January 2019. Meanwhile, inventory has remained higher in average, while the average days on market are reflective of the slower winter market.
According to RAE Chair Michael Brodrick,
“The real estate market is still experiencing the consequences of high inventory and slow sales. Buyers are benefiting from more choice but may be struggling with the mortgage qualification rules, while sellers will need to continue to be patient and flexible in this market.”
In the meantime, it is worth noting that RAE has released their 2019 forecast. If you don’t have a copy of their conference materials, you can also check out their Twitter account, as well as their #RAEforecast hashtag on Twitter for additional bits of useful information.
The following data is a comparison between January 2018 and January 2019 numbers, and is current as of February 2019.
